Programs

The main focus of SAG outreach programs is to instill in our youth an understanding of the hard work it takes to be a success in life, be it through relationships, academics, sports, whatever endeavors they may choose.

Saving A Generation of Youth at Risk. Inc. currently offers the following youth outreach programs:

1. Mentoring
Saving A Generation’s youth mentoring program is instrumental in strengthening relationships, addressing the social and personal challenges affecting youth at risk in the Rochester and surrounding communities who go without guidance and a positive role model in their lives. Young men ages 12 to 23 are at the most risk, and they make up the largest number of youth Saving A Generation serves through mentoring by meeting SAG’s objective to unlock the positive potential of each youth.

2. S.A.G. Contender
Saving A Generation’s SAG Contender program is an athletic sports outreach program motivating and helping youth at risk to understand the hard work it takes to be successful in life.  This outreach program encourages youth in the Rochester Community who enjoy the sport of boxing, to get off the streets and accept the challenge, not from an opponent, but from themselves, and commit to giving their best in a positive environment that promotes self worth and valuable principals requiring dedication that can be utilized in any aspect of their lives.

With the assistance of the coaches and trainers of the 4th Street Youth Boxing Gym “The SAG Contender”.

3. B attitudes
Saving A Generation’s B attitudes program is an academic assistance outreach program providing tutoring for middle school to high school aged youth at risk during the academic school year. This program encourages participants to strive toward the academic achievement of a B or higher-grade average, and impresses upon them the importance of academic achievement while building study skills that will aid them in preparing for academic success.
